Center for Family Life’s youth development services are grounded in the belief that strong connections between families, schools and neighborhood organizations are essential to promoting positive outcomes for children and teens. Our year-round afterschool, evening and weekend activities for children, youth and adults promote leadership skills, support family life, and create a sense of community.

  • Both of our Beacon programs offer educational, recreational and cultural activities through Afterschool Programs and Summer Day Camps.
  • Both Beacons provide a year-round Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program. Youth gain experience working with young children, develop leadership skills, and take part in group activities such as career exploration workshops.
  • Both schools host family nights, special events, and volunteer activities for parents and family members. The Beacon programs also offer ESOL and adult education classes.

Our Neighborhood Centers give children and adults the opportunity to participate in indoor and outdoor sports, games, arts and crafts, a lending library, dance and performing arts clubs, and a family lounge.
